EIGEN FOUNDATION
Building a distribution that evolved with the Eigen ecosystem.
Across two seasons, Clique helped Eigen Foundation distribute EIGEN at scale while turning the claim experience into a way to encourage delegation, recognize participation and reward continued engagement with the ecosystem.

SUGGESTED CLIENT QUOTE · PLACEHOLDER FOR VALIDATION
“Clique helped us turn a complex distribution strategy into an experience our community could actually navigate. Across both seasons, they gave us the flexibility to evolve the mechanics while keeping the experience clear for users.”

THE STORY
About Eigen
EigenLayer is a protocol built around restaking, enabling staked assets to be used to secure additional services and applications. The Eigen Foundation is an independent organization focused on supporting the long-term growth of the EigenLayer ecosystem.
Challenge
Eigen Foundation needed to distribute EIGEN to a large and active community without treating the launch as a simple token claim.
For Season 1, EIGEN needed to reach users while remaining non-transferable, allowing the ecosystem to introduce and stress-test new protocol mechanisms before enabling transfers. By Season 2, the distribution had evolved. Eigen wanted to recognize past participation across different community signals and reward users who had remained active within the ecosystem after S1.
Clique needed to translate two different distribution strategies into experiences that could operate at scale while remaining straightforward for eligible users.
Solution
For Season 1, Clique built EigenLayer’s lockdrop and claim experience. Eligible users could claim EIGEN, but the tokens remained non-transferable. The experience also guided users toward staking and delegating their EIGEN to Operators, connecting the distribution directly to participation in the Eigen ecosystem.
Season 2 introduced a different set of mechanics. Clique built a social verification system that allowed eligible users to bind their social accounts to a claim address, supporting a retroactive distribution informed by community activity such as Discord roles and X participation. This included an early implementation of Kaito’s algorithm to identify Eigen evangelists.
The S2 distribution also recognized behavior following the first season, including users who kept liquidity within the Eigen ecosystem and delegated their EIGEN to Operators. Clique then built the claim interface through which eligible users could view their allocation and claim their tokens.
Together, the two seasons created a distribution system that could evolve alongside Eigen’s token and ecosystem strategy rather than forcing both campaigns into the same claim model.
Results
Across both seasons, Clique supported the distribution of 111.6 million assets to more than 204,000 users, processing over USD 1 billion in verified volume.
More importantly, the infrastructure supported two distinct phases of Eigen’s distribution strategy: an initial non-transferable distribution built around delegation and protocol participation, followed by a retroactive distribution that incorporated community activity and continued ecosystem engagement.
