LAGRANGE

Turning a sybil-heavy campaign into a verified, multi-chain distribution.

Clique helped Lagrange filter a heavily sybiled engagement program and build a distribution that let verified users choose where they wanted to receive and claim their tokens across six networks.

“Clique helped us solve two problems at once: verifying a heavily sybiled user base and giving legitimate users flexibility over where they received their tokens. The result was a much cleaner distribution without forcing our multi-chain community into a single network.”

THE STORY

About Lagrange

Lagrange is a cryptographic infrastructure project focused on verifiable computation and cross-chain applications.

Challenge

Lagrange had built an engagement program with more than half a million addresses, but the campaign had been heavily targeted by sybils. Before distributing tokens, the team needed a rigorous way to distinguish unique participants from duplicate or artificial identities.

At the same time, Lagrange’s community was inherently multi-chain. The project had users across several EVM networks as well as an active Solana user base it wanted to include in the airdrop. Forcing every eligible participant to receive tokens on the same chain would have worked against that strategy.

Lagrange therefore needed a registration system that could verify uniqueness at scale while allowing legitimate users to choose the network and address where they wanted to receive their allocation.

Solution

Clique built a registration and claims system around identity verification and user-selected distribution networks.

During registration, users connected a wallet or X account and completed a facial Proof of Uniqueness check through Billions. This biometric verification layer reduced Lagrange’s original user list by 85%, filtering the heavily sybiled campaign before distribution.

Once verified and confirmed eligible, users selected the network on which they wanted to receive their tokens. Clique supported six destinations: Ethereum, Base, Optimism, Polygon, Arbitrum and Solana. Users then provided the receiving address associated with their selected network. For participants choosing Solana, the flow included an additional verification step to confirm ownership of the Solana address used for the airdrop.

For claims, Clique deployed multi-chain distributor contracts so that the network selected during registration became the user’s actual claim destination. Eligible users could then connect their wallet, complete the required Proof of Humanity check and claim directly on their selected network.

The result was a single distribution process capable of filtering duplicate identities while routing legitimate users across both EVM and Solana environments.

Results

The Billions Proof of Uniqueness integration reduced Lagrange’s original list of participants by 85%, substantially narrowing a campaign that had accumulated more than half a million addresses before verification.

Clique then carried that verified user base into a multi-chain distribution system spanning Ethereum, Base, Optimism, Polygon, Arbitrum and Solana. Rather than treating chain selection as a post-distribution bridge problem, users chose their preferred destination during registration and could claim directly on that network.

This gave Lagrange a way to combine identity filtering with a distribution model that reflected the multi-chain structure of its community.
